pesh hai gul jo ladi thi,
Guldaston me na hi yun padi thi,
Gulzar khud ka banaya,
Kismat badalne ki jo zid har ghadi thi,
khushboon raftaar se bikhera,
gulband khud ka banya, ladke jeetna hamsaya tha,
tadap tadap ke kai din guzraya,
achhe waqt ki talaash me,
na khoya usne dheeraj,
na khoya daman pyaar ka,
baadee royi,
kuchli, masli gayi,
par fir bhi dati rahi, kyunki himmat hi sarmaya tha,
dekho khushiyaan fir se aa gayi, gul me gulshan,
aankhon me hasi aur dil me pyaar fir se aaya tha,

wo gul zamane se ladi thi
guldaston me yun na padi thi

Maujasma Teri chahat ka lagta hai is kadar,
Jaise ek parinda sarhad ki diwaroon se ho Bekhabar,
Jiase ek darvesh ghumta ho dar badar,
Hai teri hi narmiyat ka ye umda asar,
Jiase ho raat ki Mahekti wo teesri pahar,
jaise Ghulaboon ka patjhad se pehle hota hai hashar,
