    BegunKodar Station | बेगुनकोदर स्टेशन

    Begunkodar railway station in Purulia district of West Bengal came in Indian Railways records as one of its 10 'haunted' railway stations in 1967 after passengers deserted it when the station master reportedly died after seeing a white sari clad woman walking along the railway tracks. The railway station remained shut for 42 years until 2009 when Mamata Banerjee reopened it during her tenure as railways minister. However, nobody stayed back at the station after 5 pm every day.     Birds' Suicide | पक्षियों की आत्महत्या

    Many migratory birds in Assam including tiger bittern, little egret, black bittern, pond heron, Indian pitta and kingfishers are affected by the mysterious phenomenon at Jatinga. Species of birds including black drone, hill partridge, green pigeon, emerald dove, and necklaced laughing thrush amongst others used to come to this place and mysteriously die by suicide in large numbers.     Roopkund Skeletons | रूपकुंड के कंकाल

    Nestled deep in the Himalayan mountains at 5029 m above sea level, Roopkund Lake is a small body of water (~40 m in diameter) that is colloquially referred to as Skeleton Lake due to the remains of several hundred ancient humans scattered around its shores. Little is known about the origin of these skeletons, as they have never been subjected to systematic anthropological or archaeological scrutiny.     I Killed Gandhi | मैंने गाँधी को मारा

    Nathuram Vinayak Godse was a nationalist and editor of a newspaper who assassinated Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi on January 30, 1948, when Gandhi Ji visited the then Birla House in New Delhi for a prayer meeting. Godse had fired three bullets at Gandhi’s chest from a close range, ensuring his demise. Godse chose not to escape, was arrested, tried and sentenced to death.     Sone Bhandar Riddle | सोन भंडार की पहेली

    Sone Bhandar in translation means the store of gold and a legend goes saying that there is treasure hidden in its walls. On the wall of the cave, there is a trace of carving which resembles that of a doorway and next to it is a 'difficult to understand' inscription in the Sankhilpi or Shell script. It is said that this inscription is a password and the person who would read it could open the door and enter the passage.     Royal Ghosts of Awadh | अवध के शाही भूत

    For over three decades, Malcha Mahal, a 14th-century hunting lodge in the middle of Delhi’s ridge forest, inhabited by the self-proclaimed royal family of Oudh, remained out of bounds for those uninvited. Until the afternoon of September 3, 2017, not many had entered the lodge. And then one afternoon, the palace’s last resident, Prince Ali Raza was found dead. For over three decades, Prince Ali Raza lived at the palace with his mother Wilayat and sister Sakina. Proclaiming themselves as descendants of the Oudh Royal family, the three had refused to leave the 14th-century hunting lodge until the government returned their ancestral property. A New York Times article recently suggested that the three may not have been related to the Royal family. The reporter interviewed Raza’s relatives who said Raza was no prince. They said Wilayat hallucinated. The three took the truth to their graves.
