GMD - Should we get our daughter a math tutor

Jeremy and Sarah have a daughter who's a sophomore in high school. She has all As and Bs, except she's failing her math class. Sarah wants to get her a tutor over the summer so that she never falls behind in math again, but Jeremy is more laid back. He says it's obvious that their daughter won't be an engineer, so it's not important that she focuses on math - she should focus on the subjects she excels in! Whose side are you on?
