NFL Broadcaster Charles Davis | Bengals Lose 37-17 Never Counting Out Joe Burrow and the Bengals

NFL broadcaster Charles Davis joins us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham to discuss the Bengals' 37-17 loss to the Philadephia Eagles and how he's never counting out Joe Burrow and the Bengals.   It was another home loss for the Bengals as they fell to 3-5 in the 2024 season. The game was tied late in the 3rd quarter but after three big plays for the Eagles, the game seemed to slip away for the Bengals.  There were many reasons the Bengals lost on Sunday but a big one was having their #2 wide receiver out with injury. Tee Higgins was ruled out before the game after he injured his quad on Friday and now the Bengals are 0-3 without Higgins in the 2024 season. The Bengals have the Las Vegas Raiders coming to Paycor Stadium in Week 9 in what now is another must-win midway through the season.  We want to thank Charles for being a fantastic guest and for joining us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham brought to you by First Star Logistics. Dave Lapham Reaction: Eagles Bullied Bengals

The Philadelphia Eagles won their first game in Cincinnati Sunday afternoon in Paycor Stadium and bullied the Cincinnati Bengals during their 37-17 win over the 3-5 Bengals. After an incredible opening drive by Joe Burrow (26 of 37 for 234 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) that resulted in a Ja'Marr Chase two-yard touchdown reception and used up most of the clock in the first quarter, the Bengals defense held the Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense to a Jake Elliott 39 yard field goal to be up 7-3 in the second quarter. However, Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and DeVonta Smith were getting warmed up. Hurts led the Eagles on another drive that ended with a one-yard touchdown run to head into the locker room at the half-tied 10-10. It didn't take long for the Eagles to add another score with another Hurts touchdown run and a 17-10 advantage. The Bengals would answer with another drive as running back Chase Brown hit the end zone with a four-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 17 with a little over four minutes left in the third quarter. But the Bengals were done for the day as the Eagles bullied them on both sides of the ball. They would get a 45-yard touchdown strike from Hurts to Smith and another 1-yard run for a score from Hurts, with two Elliott field goals to win. This would silence the second-largest crowd in Paycor history as the Bengals struggled to add wins on the field. Dave Lapham was on the call for the game and reacted to the Bengals' fifth loss of the season from the First Star Logistics Studios. Cincinnati Bengals Defensive Coordinator Lou Anarumo | Very Pleased After Two Great Defensive Games

Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo joins us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham to discuss the Bengal's back-to-back wins and how impressive Lou's defense has played.  The last time Lou joined the show it was after two disappointing performances against the Commanders and the Ravens but now after two great performances from his defense Lou is in better spirits.  The Bengals will have another huge challenge in Week 8 vs the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have a great offense with multiple weapons including Saquon Barkley, AJ Brown, and DeVonta Smith along with their dual-threat QB Jalen Hurts.  We want to thank Lou for being a fantastic guest and for joining us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham brought to you by First Star Logistics.
