Using more than 99% target language, LCTS听故事说中文 creates authentic and immersive Chinese language podcast. It covers a wide range of topics and proficiency levels(Novice, Intermediate, Advanced). Every story has two parts: story (A) and story explanation (B), accompanied by annotated vocabulary and transcript. For example, an episode titled "2.3.12 A" means this episode is at the level of Intermediate High (2.3), is the 12th episode created for this level, and is the story, not story explanation. You can also read along with the stories and explanations by becoming our patrons.

Amazing resource for learning Chinese
I never really got into listening to podcast before knowing 听故事学中文. But I’ve been hooked since the first time I listened to this channel, thanks to my Chinese teacher for recommending it. It feels like listening to good friends chatting and telling you stories, very sincere. The words are pronounced clearly and, for me, the conversation flows at the right pace. The stories and themes are always interesting and engaging. The explanation part is extremely helpful for vocabulary enrichment. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this channel so much! Thanks a lot for your hard work.
Not novice level
It starts at a higher then novice level. I didn't understand at all, just a word here and there. In a while, i'll try again to see if i understand anything. Would be nice, because I think stories are a great way to learn.
great podcast for learning Chinese
First of all, I fully agree with He Yashi's review! Here is how I use LCTS: I copy the shownotes (in my podcast app) and paste them into the app Simplenote (a simple but very effective text app). I cut the Pinyin and English and copy paste the remaining Chinese text into the Clip Reader of Pleco (the app which probably every student of Chinese uses). I then study the text of the episode in Pleco to get familiar with new vocabulary. I then listen to the episode.
