Neither Funny Nor Original

Neither Funny Nor Original
Neither Funny Nor Original Podcast

For five years Bridget and Brittney searched for a “handbook”, a plausible outline on how to navigate coming out as gay while still heavily involved in their churches and attached to their intolerant, homophobic family. The idea of a healthy romantic relationship between two women who are capable and deserving of a successful life was exactly that, an idea. A beautiful yet foreign concept that they learned to accept and believe. The only problem was they couldn’t see their lives apart from each other and they were convinced they shouldn’t be forced to either. A Note from Bridget and Brittney: This podcast is for anyone who has ever felt alienated because of their identity, shamed for who they loved or just fucking confused and gay as shit. Chances are we might have been in your shoes before, or if we haven’t we want to listen to your story and support you in the only way we know how, through love and empathy. Our coming out story isn’t unique. There’s nothing particularly special about us; Some might say we’re neither funny, nor original, but we are here today because of the choices we took towards reaching our happiness. We may not know you yet, but you, yes you reading this, we’re here to remind you that you’re deserving of love and happiness too.
