    What's Going On With Skillet?!

    Skillet is celebrating 20 years of Comatose—the album that helped turn them into arguably the biggest Christian rock band in the world. But the celebration is already surrounded by controversy. Bad Wolves were announced as support for the anniversary tour, only to be removed from the lineup after Skillet fans began raising serious concerns about the band’s new lead singer, Sara “KILLBOY” Skinner—including her sexually explicit public persona and reported OnlyFans activity. Skinner says Skillet’s fans did the research that management apparently didn’t, and shortly afterward, Bad Wolves were off the tour. But that raises another question: If those concerns were serious enough to separate from Bad Wolves, why is Skillet still celebrating Comatose alongside secular rock band Escape the Fate? And maybe the bigger question isn’t simply, “Should Christian bands ever play with secular bands?” But rather... "Where is the line between reaching the culture and allowing the culture to influence you?"     Christians Teaming Up With Catholics?

    Seth Gruber’s new film brings together prominent evangelical voices like Allie Beth Stuckey and Pastor Jack Hibbs, while also featuring Catholic commentator Michael Knowles—and it raises a much bigger question. For years, Protestants and evangelicals have joined forces with figures like Lila Rose in the fight against abortion, often under the banner of “co-belligerence.” More recently, Joel Webbon announced Alex Jones as a speaker at his “Christ Is King” event. And Doug Wilson has openly articulated the reasoning behind these kinds of alliances: we may fundamentally disagree, but we can still fight together against a common enemy. But is that actually a biblical position? When does working alongside someone become joining together in a cause?     The Tragic Story Of Hayden Panettiere

    There is something deeply disturbing about the story of Hayden Panettiere, and it goes far beyond the circumstances surrounding her tragic death. At just 36 years old, Hayden entered Hollywood as a child. She was supposed to have parents who protected her, who put her well-being ahead of a paycheck, a contract, or a career. Yet, according to Hayden's own words, her relationship with her mother became deeply strained, and she eventually cut professional ties with her own mom, saying that what she wanted for her mother was simply for her to be her mother. And that raises a much bigger question: What happens when the people that God gave a child to protect become the very people helping to turn the child into a product? This story isn't unique to Hollywood or the music industry. We've seen versions of this with Michael Jackson and Joe Jackson, Macaulay Culkin, Drew Barrymore, Miley Cyrus, Jennette McCurdy, and others. Different families, different circumstances, but a recurring pattern: A child becomes famous, the money starts coming in, and protecting the child can become secondary to protecting their career. But children are not investments. They're not vehicles for our dreams, nor opportunities to live vicariously through their success. And when Hollywood wants access to your child, the question shouldn't be, "How famous can we make them?" It should be, "How do we protect them?"     "Christian" Band Tours With Bible Burners?!

    Stop me if you've heard this before. A formerly self-proclaimed Christian band starts performing alongside a band with openly blasphemous music. And when you take a closer look at the band's current theological positions, you begin to see something else: a gradual drift away from a distinctly biblical worldview. Sound familiar? We've seen this story before with artists like Amy Grant, Jon Steingard, formerly of Hawk Nelson, Kevin Max, formerly of DC Talk, and others within the Christian music industry. The latest to engage in this apparent Christian music pastime is the formerly professing Christian metal band Fit for a King, who are now touring with an openly blasphemous band, Motionless in White, whose song titles include “Dead as F***,” “Immaculate Misconception,” “Thoughts and Prayers,” and no this is not in a positive light. And upon further research, it does seem like the theological drift was the precursor for them singing next to scoffers and mockers while claiming to still have a relationship with Christ, which we will examine today.     The brand new Minions movie is out, this one titled Minions and Monsters, as the Minions conjure up a little guy named Goomi. But before the yellow Minions ever made audiences laugh with jokes about séances, magic, and the occult, Hollywood had already spent nearly a century weaving witchcraft, paganism, ghosts, sorcery, and the supernatural into family entertainment. From Disney's first animated feature, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and its spell casting queen and enchanted potions to Lonesome Ghosts, Fantasia, The Sword in the Stone, The Black Cauldron, The Little Mermaid, Moana, and now the latest Minions movie, the occult has often been presented as humorous, harmless, or even heroic. How did witchcraft and occult themes become so normalized in children's entertainment? Is it simply innocent fantasy, or has generation after generation been conditioned to laugh at, celebrate, and embrace ideas that Scripture repeatedly warns believers to avoid?     Should Christians STOP Saying Jesus Loves You?

    Can we really share the gospel by starting with Jesus loves you? Pastor Jeff Durbin said that walking up and telling people that “Jesus loves you” is not what the Apostles taught and so naturally it isn’t something that we should be doing when we share the gospel.     TOO SATANIC To Take The Stage?!

    What happens when a band gets kicked off a tour for being too satanic? You'd think that would be the end of the road, but in rock and in metal, it's often just the beginning. That's exactly what happened when Twin Temple was dropped from Charley Crockett's tour over concerns about their overt Satanic image. But almost immediately, Jack White, former frontman of The White Stripes, stepped up, inviting them out to open for him while telling them, quote, "Get in front of me, Satan." It's a story we've seen over and over again. Fred Durst was initially repulsed by Staind's shocking, blasphemous imagery, only to later become the man who gave them their big break. Time and time again, artists who openly flirt with or profess allegiance to Satan don't disappear after the backlash. They often find influential voices eager to elevate them to even bigger platforms. And the story doesn't stop there.
