Ms. Clara Tse, Senior Manager of Research Project Design at HKRITA, introduced the Open Lab initiative, which aims to promote the industry's sustainable development by showcasing solutions, building collaborative platforms, and providing resources for problem-solving.

The recycling of post-consumer fibers poses a significant challenge to achieve circularity, due to the wide variety of fiber types and the high difficulty and cost of recycling technologies. Mr Kenneth Chan, Senior Technical Manager of Winnitex Group, shared the current recycling technologies for post-consumer textiles and provided his recommendations to better achieve the goal of recycling.

Driven by policy changes both internationally and domestically, the textile industry is undergoing a gradual shift towards more environmentally friendly production methods. In order to achieve the goal of circularity, technological advancements have become crucial. Ms. Wang Lin, Project Director of China National Textile and Apparel Council, will present the key focus areas of current work, including infrastructural and application innovation.
