Kya Hai Laxman Rekha Ka sach

One of the most significant parts of Ramayan is Laxman Rekha- a powerful, magical line drew by Laxman to protect Maa Sita. In almost every adaptation of Ramayan and performances of "Ram Leela", you will find great emphasis on this incident. But did Laxman Rekha really exist? Or was it just a metpahor?
