Dr. LaNysha Adams serves as Chief Technology Officer at Edlinguist Solutions, bringing more than 15 years of experience from her roles as an educator teaching English to speakers of other languages, education policy analyst, and applied researcher. An award-winning consultant, Dr. Adams’ work has been recognized as a key part of Edlinguist Solutions’ success as one of the most innovative companies (“50 on Fire”) in Washington, DC for its people first + technology + process integration for two consecutive years. In 2019, Edlinguist was the first company in the District of Columbia to host 30 business student recipients of the Beacon Fellowship. This year, Edlinguist was nominated for its nationally recognized Graduate Student Success coaching program for an EdTech Cool Tool Awards, one of the highest recognitions to receive for its contributions in transforming education with technology to enrich the lives of learners. As an active member of several professional associations, Dr. Adams is also a certified coach with expertise in administering the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Assessment, Learning Styles, and the Benchmarks 360-degree Assessment Suite. Dr. Adams is the current chair of the Society for the Study of Social Problem's Institutional Ethnography Division, elected by academic colleagues to a two-year term (2019-2021) leading the largest gathering of Institutional Ethnography researchers in the world. Dr. Adams holds a Ph.D. in Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies from the University of New Mexico, M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages/Applied Linguistics from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a B.A. in Linguistics & Rhetoric from California State University, San Marcos.
