    Ep 13: Jon Cozy

    Ep 13: Jon Cozy

In this episode, I interview Jonathan Sucaldito  AKA, Jon Cozy.

Cozy is a friend from my old high school, Kapolei High School, on the island of O'ahu. He is also an all around artist.

From rapping, to making beats  to writing poetry and songs, scratching on the turntables, taking photos, Cozy can do it all. Another awesome skill and passion that Cozy has is training Brazilian JiuJitsu.

The reason why I wanted Cozy on this podcast was to share his story. When I knew Cozy, he was a lot heavier and out of shape compared to the person he is today. Nowadays, you can catch Cozy rolling on the mats, kicking thai pads, then rocking a tanktop ready to give you front row seats to the gun show 💪

It is amazing to see friends from high school make a positive transformation to their health. I figured that if people were to hear his perspective on why and how he lost all that weight, they might be inspired to make a positive transformation of their own.

Listen to this latest podcast episode as we catch up on old times, talk about topics such as jiu-jitsu, weightloss, and also wisdom for aspiring rap artists.

    Ep 12 Amber Lethem

    Ep 12 Amber Lethem

Depending on your perspective, life can be an amazing euphoric experience or life can be a monotonous boring event that we just want to be over already.

In this next episode of my podcast, I interview Amber Lethem, a Professional Sales and Business coach who has a goal of helping people to start living the most fulfilling life they can according to what makes them come alive.

Besides being a Sales and Business coach, Amber definitely lives life on the more positive and adventurous spectrum since she participates in activities such as freediving, scubadiving, surfing, hiking, and world traveling.

We discuss many great topics like sales, business, time management, and dealing with anxiety.

I wanted Amber on this podcast to be a light unto others. During these crazy times of dealing with a pandemic and even war, the world needs more light, love, positivity, and strategies to cope with the overwhelming negativity the world has been dealing with lately. Amber and I have a very enlightening conversation which I hope will open the minds of the listeners.

In the words of Amber, "people are amazing, if we let them be." I hope all of you amazing people can listen to this podcast and learn to be genuinely yourselves so that you all can be a little more amazing than you already are.

Ep 11 Jordi Sullivan: The Fight Dietitian

Ep 11 Jordi Sullivan: The Fight Dietitian

Combat sports is not for everyone. Getting punched, kicked, knee'd, elbowed, slammed, choked, and getting your body twisted in thousands of different ways is truly not a profession for an ordinary person. Not to mention it being a weight category sport where athletes are cutting large amounts of weight, depleting their bodies of nutrients and water, all in order to make a certain number on the scale. Usually this takes place a day before fighting for their lives against another trained opponent in front of a huge live audience. Talk about modern day gladiators!

While weight cutting has been around the combat sports scene for awhile, people like Jordi Sullivan who are dedicated to finding the most optimal way to fuel combat sports athletes and lead them through a weight cut in the most efficient way possible, are a new breed.

Jordi, AKA "The Fight Dietitian" is the dietitian for top names in the MMA scene like Israel Adesanya, Alexander Volkanovski, Dan Hooker, Kai-Kara France  Leon Edwards, and many more. In this podcast episode, Jordi and I discuss many topics that all combat sports athletes need to hear.

Whether you do boxing, muay thai, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, or a variety of them all, you should listen to this episode to learn about what it takes to properly fuel yourself towards the path of greatness, victory, and longevity.

Jordi and I discuss weight cuts, the dangers of weight cutting but how to do it properly, fighters nutrition, and many other great topics that will help you learn how to train smarter.

Episode 10 Monique Ong: Waking Up From a Coma

Episode 10 Monique Ong: Waking Up From a Coma

Imagine waking up from a coma with tubes coming out of your mouth and brain, barely able to speak, walk, hold your head up, or even use the bathroom. Then imagine being told by the doctors that you damaged your brain so badly that you will never be able to live life like how you used to.

This was a real life experience for one of my kickboxing students and my next podcast guest Monique Ong.

Monique is the chairman of The Mind Nation which is a company that advocates for providing total mental healthcare to employees. She is also a survivor of TBI or Traumatic Brain Injury.

Monique shares her story of how a simple night of dinner and drinks with a friend led to her slipping, falling, hitting her head, and ending up in a coma for 21 days.

During this pandemic, people have began to realize how important mental health is for overall health. I truly believe that hearing Monique's story will inspire people to be able to overcome any difficulties and will teach people to be more mindful of the power of words.

Listen to the full episode to hear her story and wisdom for people suffering from mental health issues.

Episode 8: Alexa Eisenberg Diet Tips From a Dietician

Episode 8: Alexa Eisenberg Diet Tips From a Dietician

"Get from where you are, to where you want to be with your health goals." This is the motto of Alexa Eisenberg.

My latest guest Alexa Eisenberg is a registered dietitian who runs her own business helping clients achieve their nutritional goals. Alexa has experience working with eating disorders, disordered eating, and has even been the dietician of the Ulitimate Fighting Championship Perofrmance Institute.

I stumbled upon Alexa while listening to The Fight Science Podcast episode where Alexa was discussing proper nutrtional strategies for combat sports athletes. The amount of information Alexa shared during the podcast episode was both plentiful and powerful. I wanted to get her as a guest on my show as well in order to share her immense knowledge of proper nutrition to all of my listeners.

I genuinely believe that if people can educate themselves and develop good habits with their health, specifically their nutrition, then people can begin operating in a much healthier and optimal state.

Nutrition can be a tricky subject for many people. If you want to educate yourself about proper nutritional strategies and be entertained at the same time with awesome dance moves, be sure to give Alexa a follow on TikTok and IG @alexaeiseberg.rd

Alexa shares many golden nuggets of wisdom on this podcast episode so be sure to have a pen and paper to take notes!

Thanks again Alexa for your time! It was a super fun conversation that we had and I am very grateful to have connected with you. Please continue to use your awesome dance moves to educate the masses on how to eat right! 😁💪
