    Your health and wellbeing are a continuous investment.

    Take that in ☝️☝️☝️ Read it several times if you need to.

    I will tell you what goes wrong.

    For example, if you want to lose weight, you hire a trainer, but you don't get results as you don't want to change the foods you eat.

    You think that just because you are paying someone for an hour of time for a week you will lose weight.

    Wrong!

    Or instead of a trainer, you go on a diet (Cambridge, Keto, Atkins etc).

    But then what?

    You lose weight and then return to 'normal', then slowly watch your weight creep back on (with a little extra).

    It all starts with your mind and mindset.

    You will get better results with small consistent actions than you will in some short-term fad.

    You will also impact other elements of your life - relationships, work success, financial situation.

    Because you are committed to the one person in your life that truly matters. To you!

    You can...

    ✔️ Have a clear mind for creative thinking and productivity every single day

    ✔️ Have the energy to work a full day AND still have time for loved ones in the evening

    ✔️ Love your body so much that it does not matter WHAT you wear, you will rock it!

    And it all comes from making sure you are top of your game.

    Join Paula Goodman and me as we share our thoughts and experience live at 1500 GMT on Wednesday 8th December.

    We will be joined by Alex Da Silva who will be bringing the gender balance to the table. (Gents, these things hit us all)

    Ladies Go Live: 1st December 2021

    Ladies Go Live: 1st December 2021

    Are you one of those people who is always in a rush to get somewhere?

    Or to achieve something?

    Then on the way, everyone seems to want to get in the way and slow down the end result.

    So frustrating!

    Have you ever heard the line 'stop and smell the roses'?

    'Stop and smell the roses' is an idiom that means to take time out of one's busy schedule to enjoy or appreciate the beauty of life.

    Basically, to relax.  I know I spent so many years in a hurry...

    wanting an answer following an interview the same day;
    dying to hear back from a guy the day after we had been out or even met;
    wishing for a holiday to hurry up, so I could jump on that plane to somewhere warmer.

    I think it's part of growing up really - such a hurry not to be a child anymore that we actually forget there is no rush.

    Except if you live in a big city like #London ... kind of get used to the fast-paced lifestyle.

    But fast-paced and tight deadlines do not mean rushing.  It is about;

    ✔️ Being effective with your time;

    ✔️ Being 100% invested in what you are doing at the moment - work is work, play is play;

    ✔️ Having time and ways to destress so you can recharge your batteries.

    Whether you are struggling to find balance, or simply want to improve how things are now, join us #live Wednesday 1st December.

    Paula Goodman and I will be talking about all things to do with your journey, how to set yourself first to take positive steps, and how to do it to keep enjoying the ride.

    Live on #LinkedIn and #YouTube 1500 GMT | 1000 EST | 0700 PST Wednesday 1st December.

    Creating awareness is key when it comes to health and wellbeing.

    How many times have you thought something was wrong, and really it was nothing?

    Or maybe the opposite?

    You thought all was fine but then you needed treatment or medicine?

    Paula Goodman and I spoke about #WomensHealth during October. Now it is time to raise awareness for #MensHealth.

    Ok, so we can't go a moustache or anything to show our support for #Movember , but we can help to create awareness for the key topics:

    Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
    Prostate Cancer
    Testicular Cancer

    Well, Paula and I know little about the first one, but we do know about the impact cancer can have on someone.

    And now, more than ever, mental health needs care and attention.

    Did you know that other issues can arise or worsen if your mental wellbeing is not being cared for?

    You could say it is the pivotal piece for great health.

    Join us and share your thoughts, live Wednesday 17th November at 1500 GMT (London Time)  1000 EST | 0700 PST

    Ladies Go Live: 10th November 2021

    There is nothing worse than feeling embarrassed.

    Except for the fact those are the memories that you remember most of all.

    Did you fall over in the street?  Did your skirt blow up at the wrong time?

    Was there something stuck in your teeth during a first date?

    When you made that presentation, was your shirt see-through under the lights?

    I could go on...

    Embarrassing things happen, a bit like they're simply part of everyday life.

    But have you noticed that when you feel top of your game, fewer things happen?

    Or even the most embarrassing happen when you are worried/upset/stressed?

    It is SO hard to laugh something off when you are feeling like the world is piling in.

    And worse if you are trying to make a good impression.

    Do you know how I used to cope when I started teaching fitness classes?

    Well, I get stage fright (hard to believe at times I know, but it is legit), which over the years is something I have worked on, but to begin with, it was really hard.

    Anyway, when I started teaching (and even now if I get really nervous or want to make a great impression) I started the class off by saying or doing something silly.  You know, like an ice breaker.

    My favourite story is always telling people how I fell off the bike 1/2 way through the warm-up on my first cycle class.  I kill the embarrassment of that moment with something I feel is worse than anything anyone else could do right then.

    The kill kindness with kindness mentality.  But guess what?!

    It works!

    Join Paula Goodman and me as we talk through our self-conscious emotions, share our stories and experiences, and what coping mechanisms work for us.

    Play is good for your health!

    Oh yes, it is!

    A bit Punch and Judy, but who cares!

    There's a reason why play and laughter are an essential part of your childhood - they're good for you.

    In fact, through play you...

    🤾‍♀️ learn

    🤾‍♀️ build teamwork

    🤾‍♀️ develop co-ordination and cognitive skills

    🤾‍♀️ encourage creativity

    And how good does it feel to laugh?!?

    A proper belly laugh where you let all your inhibitions go.

    The best part?

    Whatever your age, gender, background, basically you can be anyone, play will give benefit to you and your life too.

    So if you fancy coming for 'play time' that is good for your health, join Paula Goodman, myself with our Special guest this Wednesday at 1500 GMT (London Time).

    Ladies Go Live: 27th October 2021

    Ladies Go Live: 27th October 2021

    It's that time of year - Halloween!

    A time historically linked to trick or treating, dressing up, and those good old-fashioned horror movies.

    However, that is not where it started.

    In fact, costumes used to be worn so people would ward off ghosts (a bit different from dressing up as one).

    But it was Robert Burns who first used the word 'Halloween' in a poem, which literally is just an old-fashioned way of saying "the night before All Saints' Day".

    Yet despite some of the darker history, Halloween, like other holidays, created that extra bit of 'cheer' for people during the pandemic.  For your mental wellbeing it has been truly awesome you could say!

    However, are you aware that your mind can play tricks on you?

    That when you think your body needs those sweet treats, that it is actually your mind taking over?

    Join Paula Goodman and me as we speak about health and Halloween - does your mind need a trick, or does your body need a treat?

    Live Wednesday 27th October at 1500 BST | 1000 EST | 0700 PDT
