Women, Wisdom & Life Fierce Joy

    • Hälsa och motion

How much do you know about your body? Hint:  You're supposed to feel good, have energy, and here is a brief intro to cycles and menopause.

Kara is an acupuncturist, practitioner of Chinese medicine and the founder of Fertile Ground.  Fertile Ground is a holistic women’s health center in South Minneapolis that has been providing the best that the Twin Cities has to offer in holistic reproductive and well women care since 2007.  In addition to seeing patients, Kara leads an awesome team of acupuncturists, therapeutic bodywork practitioners and office staff.

Kara began working in women’s health in 2000 as a doula and continued her training in Chinese medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s degree in 2007.

Kara is passionate about helping women find the key pivotal areas that will create balance and greater health for them.  Besides expertly providing care to fit the individual patient’s needs and goals, she is dedicated to empowering women to make the lifestyle changes that are going to have the greatest impact on their overall health and fertility.  She holds a deep respect for the authentic experience of each patient and is committed to offering a safe and compassionate space for women to explore their healing at a deeper level.

Kara enjoys her family (most of the time!), good food, hiking or skiing in the woods, community singing, and connecting with friends. Kara is grateful to be married to her husband Chandler and together parenting their 4 children.
