Testosterone as an Aphrodisiac - Evidence Based Analysis

Testosterone as an Aphrodisiac - Evidence Based Analysis

Testosterone is known to affect libido (sex drive) and erectile function, and men on TRT report improved sex lives. While these affects have been well researched in hypogonadal men, there is less data on men with normal or close to normal T levels. Increasingly, some experts suggest treating the patient and their symptoms more than the number (total T or free T). In this video I take a look at the available research to recommend that type of treatment, as well as the anecdotal data from my practice. Interestingly, most men report sustained improvements in their sex lives that do not diminish over time and treatment. However, these benefits must be weighed against the downsides of TRT
