Pray To Receive the Holy Spirit
It says in Hebrews 12:5-11 and ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Amen.- And I am telling you have to work for it. You have to work to receive your baptism of the Holy Ghost. (Pray for it!)3x. If you want to receive it. Amen.- I Corinthians 1:21 Now he who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. Amen. God gives us his spirit through Jesus Christ. Which means yes we have to work for it.- Build your faith in Jesus Christ. If you haven't already done thus. Just believing makes you anointed.- I John 2:27-29 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. The anointing that John is referring to is the Holy Spirit. He says you have no need to be taught because the Holy Spirit leads you into all truth, as the Bible says. This doesn't mean don't listen to the word of God be preached, but it means that you can know and agree to what the preachers, teachers and fellow believers say. Since we all have the same Holy Spirit in us. Also. You can keep the anointing of salvation within you by abiding in Jesus. Jesus said, remain in me, and I will remain in you. Amen.- The
