What Does the Resurrection of Jesus Christ Prove? | 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 | Bro. Glenn Graham | Sunday Morning Sermons | April 17, 2022
What does the resurrection of Jesus Christ prove? This life will end and there is something out there, something beyond the grave. In Romans 1:19-20, God tells us He made Himself known, evident – His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen and understood through creation. There is a God-consciousness in every person. The Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) is that Christ died for our sins; He was buried and was raised the third day, according to the Scriptures. He appeared -- He’s alive and will come again. The resurrection of Jesus Christ proves that His sacrifice was acceptable by God (Colossians 2:14), sin was nailed to the cross. The resurrection of Jesus Christ proves that life after death is true -- there is life beyond the grave. Jesus said He is the resurrection and the life; if you believe in Jesus, you will live even if you die (John 11:25). We will die, then what? The resurrection of Jesus Christ proves that there is a resurrection for all people – a resurrection unto eternal life -- or – a resurrection unto eternal death. In 1 Peter 1:3 – God caused us to be born to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. This living hope should be so real and evident to others, always ready to give an account for the hope that is in you (1 Peter 3:15). My hope is not in the economy, my good deeds, my hair, my family, or anything. Either you believe or you don’t; If you believe, then you forsake, repent, follow Him.
