    A Different Season

    This episode is relatable to many, and it talks about something a lot of us have experienced. This is a weird time for everyone and our hope is that you are taking care of yourself during this time. Not only are we battling a pandemic, but the season has changed, it’s colder, it is getting darker faster, and this holiday season doesn’t feel normal to many of us. Seasonal depression or the more medical term, Seasonal Affective Disorder, is a real thing, and just to normalize it for you, over 3 million people experience this a year. Coping through the holidays and through the winter season is tough, especially when you have loved ones not with you, or if this is not a happy time for you. This is the season of giving, as everyone likes to say, so how about we give ourselves a little grace and peace this holiday season.
    In this episode, we discuss seasonal depression, what it looks like, how it can affect us, and more importantly, how we cope with it. We are all battling with something, so let’s come together and help and uplift one another. Being healthy is a lifestyle, and protecting our mental is how we promote that!
