The Podcast That Must Not Be Named is a chapter by chapter, spoiler-free (mostly) reread podcast of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series with an engineer and a math teacher. As a brother-sister team guilty of consistently annoying the muggles in our family when all get-togethers resulted in discussions of Snape’s so-called redemption, lack of educational oversight at Hogwarts, and Luna Lovegood, we created this show for their sanity. Being avid rereaders, we appreciate the challenge of remaining spoiler-free during chapter discussions but allow ourselves a reprieve in our 5 Chap Recap episodes where we open up spoiler-filled The Unrestricted Section to discuss any connective tissue with future story elements. We also created this show for first-time readers (including our own children) discovering this amazing wizarding world and its timeless cast of characters. We celebrate all things imaginative and take our listeners into the mythical, fantastical, sometimes scary, but always wonder-filled wizarding world of J.K. Rowling who makes us fall from reality and emerge into something very real.
