FRIENDS FOREVER

This week, in celebration of Friends Day, Pastor Joy's sermon speaks just about that, Forever Friends, Jesus as our eternal friend and the significant role of a friend. This time, we looked into the story of Zacchaeus and his encounter with Jesus. Think about a friend you know that is lonely, that may be one friendship away from meeting Jesus. For sure you have that one friend. That person might be one friend away from a changed eternity and you might be that friend whom bring them closer to God. Jesus wanted to have a real relationship with us. He has come to seek out and save the lost. He invites himself into our life using the people around us, He is knocking and longing to be let into our hearts and our lifes. And all we need to do is to open that door and received Him and the salvation that He has offer us. Zacchaeus is not sinless or righteous, but Jesus invites himself in because He knows that he is what Zacchaeus has been searching for. And just like him, Jesus wants to be friend with all of us and He promise to find us, even if we are trying to hide in a tree.
