常用的表达有以下三种：
① the last but one倒数第二
例：It's the last but one day in the athletics programme.
这是田径项目比赛的倒数第二天。
以此类推：
倒数第三：the last but two
倒数第四：the last but three
②the next to last 倒数第二
例：I'm almost finished, this is the next to last box to empty.
我马上要完成了，现在清空的是倒数第二个箱子。
③the second to last 倒数第二

以此类推：
倒数第三：the third to last
倒数第四：the fourth to last
另外，还有个稍难点的词 penultimate [penˈʌltɪmət] 也表示：倒数第二的

02“ten to one” 是什么意思？
ten to one 是一个常用俚语
意思是：十有八九；很有可能
例：Ten to one he won't be there tonight.
他今晚十有八九不会去那里。
此外”十有八九“还可以表达为：nine times out of ten
例：Nine times out of ten, you can fix it.
你十有八九能够修好它。
如果要表达“从10到1”可以说：from ten to one

03“one of a kind” 是什么意思？
（be）one of a kind = 独一无二的；特别的

如果是（be）two of a kind
意思则是：属于同一类

04“one of those days” 是什么意思？
one of those days = 倒霉的日子，不走运的日子
