The Know Rogan Experience

The Know Rogan Experience is a show where two podcasters with no previous Rogan experience get to know Joe Rogan. Joe Rogan is one of the most listened to people on the planet, whose interviews and opinions influence millions. He is regularly criticized for his views, often by people who have never actually listened to Rogan. So we listen to Joe Rogan, and, where needed, try to correct the record. It’s the show for those who are curious about Joe Rogan, his guests, and their claims, as well as for anyone who just wants to understand Joe’s ever growing media influence.
Solid analysis by reasonable folks.

Researched discussions, critical when necessary.
Chuckling Hyenas

Just a couple of chuckling hyenas laughing at each other while they attempt to mock the JRE. Possibly one of the worst podcasts I have ever heard.
What kind of drugs are these two on.?

Honestly tried to give this a chance, but after two minutes of the hosts’ completely over-the-top talking and the one host laughing for no reason every three seconds I gave up. This is a perfect example of what NOT to do in Podcasting as no one consumes this type of hyper-induced data anymore. Less cocaine please.
They do the work so you don’t have to.

Interesting hearing what Rogan talks about and how easily his guests appear to manipulate his beliefs. I couldn’t imagine actually listening to Rogan for 3+ hrs but always wondered what they talked about.
Very informative!

The Rogan equivalent of knowledge fight!! Great analysis of his and his guests claims and opinions, just wish there was a Jordan-like host to be righteously furious!
This is a very informative show!

This is a great show to listen to if you want to find out how much one of the (if not the most) influential spreaders of disinformation. A great example is on one episode of The Joe Rogan Experience Joe lamented with his guest on why did billionaires need to keep making money
Great show, but…

Great show, knowledgeable and friendly hosts, with likable personalities. My only critique is that it feels a little short on some episodes. They bring up some thing like a teaser, but then don’t get into the weeds on it. That is what separates this show from something like Knowledge Fight where they take the time to go through things and explain to the audience. Something they’re bringing up, not tease something that will not be covered.
A Skeptic's Toolbox

I love this show for maybe a different reason than most. I mean, sure, the analysis of one of the most influential podcasts (which I will never listen to) is interesting but more interesting to me is two well known skeptics using the analysis as a jumping off point to teach skepticism and critical thinking. Cecil helping to spot fallacies and Marsh breaking them down is a great ongoing primer to help us properly take in the media landscape.
Thank you so much for doing the good work

I can’t be bothered to actually listen to Joe Rogan, I would go insane- but listening to it through Cecil and Marsh is so much more fun! I cannot express to you guys how amazing their Elon Musk interview is! Elon is one of the hardest people in the modern era (after Trump himself) to listen to and the way they sped up his speaking and cut out the overly pregnant pauses is a life saver!!! Super enjoyable way to peek behind enemy lines and see what the crazy right is actually listening to and see where they get their ideas-without driving myself insane in the process!
Unadulterated Claptrap

The two hosts are blatantly ignorant about the issues they are discussing, hand-waving away well established facts about the financial crisis and overall showing a complete lack of depth or rigorous thought about the other issues they’re trying to highlight from the original source material. If you’re looking for an inaccurate, pedantic, and unthoughtful review of all subjects from a biased, childish duo, this is the show for you. Two stars, so the algo doesn’t filter out this review. It really should be minus five, as you’ll lose your true/accurate understanding of the world listening to these podcasts.
