020 When We Work Together, We Rise Together with Linda Coogan Byrne

We Are The Unheard

In this episode Linda talks about being an activist and campaigner and their courageous fight to change the music industry.  We discuss their Gender Disparity Data Reports that have had a huge impact on the industry and the attempt to silence them by hacking their computer and deleting their whole book!

“I mean, not only that, but we do for those that are yet to come, like, you know. Because if they can't see it, they can't be it. So unless we have visibility and unless we have people being heard  you know, the LGBTQIA community, the black community, people of colour, you know, women.   Unless we are given the same equal opportunity as men.

We're just not, it's going to continue being the same situation where there's one token person on a panel. You know but it can't be like that. Imagine if it was, just imagine if it was the other way around?”
