According to the CDC and WHO respectively, 1 in 3 American men experience physical or sexual violence or stalking by an intimate partner within their lifetime. 1 in 3 women worldwide experience physical or sexual violence by an intimate partner or sexual violence by a non partner in their lifetime. The thing is, domestic abuse and violence go beyond physical and sexual assault. There is also emotional, psychological, and financial abuse. I'm Ingrid Dutton and each week I will share stories that cover the domestic abuse and violence spectrum. I will occasionally be joined by survivors, family members, and domestic violence professionals as guests. The purpose: to bring awareness, to provide guidance, to advocate for change, to assure victims and survivors there is hope and they are not alone. A Point 5 Pinoy production.
