236. Stalking The Detective
We’re speaking with a former detective specializing in domestic violence and stalking cases, who was stalked by a former partner herself.
Despite her background in law enforcement, the system failed to protect her until her stalker escalated to other crimes and was finally arrested. However, he resumed stalking her just eight days after his release. Our guest is here to shed light on the challenges victims face and the importance of self-advocacy.

235. Protecting The Stalker
Kaitlyn is currently being stalked by a man she briefly dated.
After Kaitlyn ended the relationship, the man broke into her house multiple times, followed her, harassed her at work, and even had her falsely arrested. When she reported these incidents to the police, they did not take her seriously, and she suspects this is because they know him. Fearing for her life, Kaitlyn left the country for several months to escape him.

234. Frightening Signs: Stalking Melissa
Melissa was stalked by a man she dated. Shortly after their relationship began, his behavior changed drastically. During their time together and even after they broke up, he persistently followed her, called her from unknown numbers, created fake social media profiles, and his actions eventually became violent.
Despite reporting him to the police, Melissa received no help, and his behavior only escalated. Now, she shares her story to support and help others going through similar experiences.

Throughout the years, she was harassed on social media through emails, phone calls, and texts that were all coming from an anonymous source. Question
Are they not allowed to upload these to YouTube anymore? I’d love to listen more often but that’s the only way I’m able to lately and I’m not sure why that stopped happening.

Edit: had to change it to one star. This Kaitlyn story is insane. She has to keep telling us that she’s not stupid but she went hours away w a man she barely knew, brought her daughter to his house, stayed even though he was on drugs like I would not have someone like this in my life!! Not just for me but MY CHILD. not only is she stupid but a horrible mother.
I like the podcast but skip the ex partner episodes a lot. I love that the podcast is spreading awareness but sometimes I don’t want to hear about domestic violence due to having experienced it. I really like the cases not about relationships, its interesting and helpful to hear how to navigate a situation with someone you don’t know at all.
Podcast Good, but Audio is Terrible
For a sponsored podcast, I find Jaime’s audio to be one of the worst I’ve encountered on any podcast. It is jarring to go back and fourth between the other host and guest with decent sound quality, then to her audio. It sounds like she’s talking on a phone. If she doesn’t upgrade her mic soon, I may not be able to continue listening to it.
