Awful Storytelling.. Great Stories

This podcast has so much potential, but the story telling is so awful I can’t even listen. I think these stories are incredible and worth telling but PLEASE TELL THEM BETTER, Ive given up and I’m not the only one.

How to tell them better? Listen to The Moth or Ear Hustle.

Good idea, bad format

This podcast seems to get worse as the seasons go on, which is the opposite of what should be happening. Part of being a host is taking information and summarizing it to your listeners. This podcast, especially season 3, is just Tiffany reading definitions about gaslighting from a book and then playing audio from 3 different people, which can get really confusing. Not everyone is good at telling their own story, so there needs to be some effort from Tiffany to make this easier to follow and make it flow better. Not just straight audio of the people she’s interviewing. Also, this whole season has been dragged out for too long - hardly any development happens in the story with each episode.

I truly appreciate the bravery and vulnerability of the people who have shared their stories on this podcast, and I think the issues she’s focusing on are extremely important. I just wish she did them more justice.
