10. Consolidating Legacy Data in a Practical and Cost Effective Way with MediQuant InteropNow! Podcast

    • Business

All healthcare organizations have legacy systems and that means there is a pile of legacy patient data that needs to be managed. Host Sandy Vance talks to MediQuant Chief Clinical Officer Kel Pults about her company’s experience over the past 20 years and how MediQuant helps healthcare providers efficiently archive, secure, and share private patient information.

Dr. Kel Pults is Chief Clinical Officer for MediQuant and has been with the company for eight years. The first nurse and the 42nd hire for the now 200+-person company, Pults assumed her current role in 2018 as part of MediQuant’s commitment to strengthening its clinical data management services with experienced, frontline professionals. Pults applies her deep healthcare and health informatics training and expertise to build effective health information solutions that support hospitals’ and health systems’ clinical data management needs. Brought on as MediQuant’s Director of Clinical Consulting in 2014 and later appointed Vice President, Strategic Consulting and Client Services, Pults’ duties included: working with potential clients to scope out archival requirements for new electronic health record (EHR) systems; monitoring project performance against commitments; and serving as clinical subject matter expert and collaborator with MediQuant’s leadership, and development and project management teams.  In addition to building MediQuant’s clinical archiving department from the ground up, Pults has been involved in virtually every facet of the operation. For example, she partnered with developers of the flagship product DataArk® to enhance current and create new clinical modules to meet evolving client needs and contributed created and winning the prototype that resulted in the company’s recent award of a U.S. Defense Health Agency contract.
