So Validating

I’m 5 months into my concussion and it’s been so validating to hear your story and to recognize for myself the same type of symptoms. It is hard when you look normal to people but aren’t normal in your head! I suffer with a lot of fatigue and I’m limited in how much I can do now, so it’s been hard. Thank you!

Thank you for your story and your msg. I too am lesrning ri growth through my injury. Its been 3yrs for me @jnstrawberry, for a long time I hid mine from my family being the youngest and strongest in my position for years. At the time my father also was hospitilize for his concussion from my auto accident. That i too had to care for. My whole life change oct 2019, i didnt expect half the things i would had to grow through. Now In some ways it made me better and brought out a character i never thought i had or was waiting to meet almost. I definitely had to grow up. i like being alone now. I Pray more, read, sing, play instrutments, get massages often, yoga, gym, and listen to different genres of music even. The list goes one. My most fearful experience was not being able to care for my 12 year old daughter when all this happen, the way I use too. With my family support ive gotten better. God has been my only answer. Thank you for sharing your story and this is needed!! I ca t tell you Thank You enough.

I just began listening to Silvie’s story and the audible blogs on her podcast and I’m so impressed. They are inspiring and easy to follow, and they’re short enough I can follow along without getting overwhelmed and over-informed. Already I feel a ray of sun shining through my foggy hazed brain. I will not give up because she promises me there is light at the end of whatever this crud is I am trying to navigate. Wishing everyone else this same hope!
Nice to know I’m not alone!

It’s almost hard to hear the similarities yet comforting to know I’m not alone. I can only hope the medical community can make the connection sooner and point patients in the right direction before we suffer on our own for so long! Thank you for sharing your journey!
