Did they use AI to help for the recent episode? (#214)
15 feb
overall, been loving the podcast for years. however, the recent new series that started with book reviews (episode 214) really made me question things. a lot of the words and sentence structure felt a bit like it was ‘assisted’ in being written and I wasn’t able to finish the episode. Many of the sentences had similar structures to what i’ve been hearing from ai assisted content and didn’t feel much like typical episodes. Just curious what others think.
Book writing masterclass

Loved your conversation with Charlie Hoehn. I felt like I was listening to a masterclass on how to write and market a book. Charlie provided tremendous value they anyone who is an author or who aspires to be an author can use.
The Gap and the Gain

Hey Shane, Your most recent podcast with Ryan Holiday you mentioned about being focused on this gap of achievement. There is actually a great book about that called the gap and the gain by Dan Sullivan and Dr Benjamin Hardy. I highly recommend. I love Ryan Holiday. You introduced me to Matthew Dicks and after listening to his story telling podcast with you I sat down and wrote a story in 40 minutes flat. It was awesome. Thanks so much for the awesome podcast. Also I wouldn’t be able to consume every week so every other week is also perfect for your audience. Keep on keeping on!
#192 Todd Herman: Unleashing Your Secret Identity

📣 These are my favorite takeaways! 📣 1: There are specific core drivers that shape how you show up in the world. You must continue to ask yourself are they true or do we need to revise them! 2: The key to performance is focus! The difference between an elite client vs a great client. The elite add meaning into their activities! These leaders always ask themselves where is this taking me and is it aligned with my goals 3: Remember visualization is a skill. We all can learn and strengthen that skill. 4: When you set a goal, don’t set a goal to the goal, set a goal through the goal! 5: Curate an imagination that includes an alter ego! Create rituals that move you through the journey and show up as your alter ego! Rituals are where routine meets storytelling! #LeadLoudly #bold #courageous #leadership

Great content, annoying gender bias
07/08/2023
I really like this podcast, the conversations, the guests, the wisdom being shared. So the recurring gender bias that high performers, CEOs, are all men just gets pretty annoying. I've noticed it from both the host and guests (both male and female guests) that when they're talking about high performers they're calling them "dads & husbands". It can get a little frustrating to hear as a woman who is trying to do great things, especially when the conversation is also around stories that don't serve us and limiting mindsets.
