I was diagnosed as a young adult woman and this podcast has been so helpful. I’ve heard the host and guests mention symptoms that I never knew were related to ADHD. I feel seen!!
Binge-able podcast - oh oh!

I’m 5 episodes in starting with Kristen’s 1st podcast 5 years ago and I feel like I want/need to keep listening. But I’m taking to heart the awareness that I know it’s difficult for me as a person either ADHD to transition and stop doing something I’m enjoying. So I’m channelling Kristen’s voice and thinking of all the reasons it will feel good to relax with another soothing activity and move myself toward an earlier bedtime. Thanks. I’ll keep listening - hopefully, in moderation. Glad to see you’re still at it.

For as far back as I can remember especially in school I knew I was different. My parents didn’t know what they didn’t know so I didn’t get diagnosed until I was 23 or 24 years old by my beautiful RN wife. She said to me “you need to schedule an appointment with our family practitioner about getting diagnosed with ADHD”. For which I replied “do you really think so?” And she laughed and looked at me with her beautiful big blue/green eyes and said “oh yeah”. I went to our doctor and she very promptly gave me a solid diagnosis saying that I have probably the worst ADHD she’s ever seen. Fast forward to about three months ago and nothing has ever gotten better in regards to my ADHD if anything it’s just gotten worse. I started working at the VA Hospital here in Topeka, KS in a program that helps veterans get back into the workforce. I used to listen to podcasts while I worked at other jobs and so I started listening to podcasts again. It occurred to me one day that there has to be some good podcasts available on ADHD and I found a number of them. It was just chance, dumb luck really, that I started listening to Kristen Carder’s podcast first and it has changed my life completely for the better. I’ve learned so much and gained so much confidence because of her podcast. I haven’t yet signed up for Focused but once my budget has more wiggle room I most certainly will. Anyone with ADHD or anyone who knows someone with ADHD needs to listen to her podcast. It’s helped me so much that I can’t even express it in words the insight and knowledge and all of the benefits since I’ve started listening. Well, l’m rambling, darned ADHD brain. Last thing, this is a must listen to podcasts. Thanks Kristen. Topher from Topeka!

I was diagnosed with ADHD in my forties, and this podcast has been incredibly enlightening. It’s taught me so much about myself and my ADHD journey. Kristen is both relatable and sincere, making each episode feel personal and engaging. I especially appreciated Episode 290—it was truly eye-opening. What Kristen and Tamara discussed resonated deeply with me, and I felt both seen and validated. This podcast is a fantastic resource for anyone wanting to better understand themselves and their ADHD.
