We Can Do Hard Things
Life is freaking hard. We are all doing hard things every single day – things like loving and losing; caring for children and parents; forging and ending friendships; battling addiction, illness, and loneliness; struggling in our jobs, our marriages, and our divorces; setting boundaries; and fighting for equality, purpose, freedom, joy, and peace. On We Can Do Hard Things, Glennon Doyle, author of UNTAMED; her wife Abby Wambach; and her sister Amanda Doyle do the only thing they’ve found that has ever made life easier: Drop the fake and talk honestly about the hard things including sex, gender, parenting, blended families, bodies, anxiety, addiction, justice, boundaries, fun, quitting, overwhelm . . . all of it. We laugh and cry and help each other carry the hard so we can all live a little bit lighter and braver, free-er, less alone.

Ripple effect

Being a regular listener of this podcast had a direct connection to my decision to leave abuse. Thanks to the many brilliant guests, I had the language and tools to not abandon myself. More importantly though, I have Glennon, Abby and Amanda’s voice’s with me when I feel alone. I have a couple things in common with them (46, 2 kids, white, queer, in recovery, artist and reader etc) and their honesty has earned my trust. When I start to second guess myself and think about returning to an unsafe situation in exchange for financial security or public image… the women I hear on this program remind me, we can do hard things.

Best podcast ever. Not really a podcaster, but make an exception for this one. Always feel like it was a great use of my time and walk away with a full heart! 🫶🏻
Eh the Mel episode…
há 4 dias
I guess we now know that Mel was the “episode that wasn’t”. She was so rude to you guys again and you had her on the pod after cancelling her episode because she was rude. Ya Mel hates you guys and went on your pod to make you look like fools. Idk why you gave her a second chance she just a mean uneducated person who has no credentials. I was shocked you aired that pod and thought it was a mistake maybe accidentally being released because she was so awful to all of you. You can tell by Abby’s silence that Mel Robbin’s was “the episode that wasn’t”. Used to love the pod but it has changed and feels out of touch and a little culty. I’m worried you are encouraging people to behave poorly- it’s okay to be a sociopath, it’s okay to self isolate, it’s okay to ignore all family and friends. This is uneducated advice and you’re just giving permission for people to act terribly and blame it on psychology.
