Bros Bibles & Beer

Serious conversations on faith and culture while not taking ourselves too seriously, Bros Bibles & Beer is a podcast about life, faith & our favorite beverage - Unpolished and potentially unsafe. Kind of like life. Grace-Peace-Cheers!
Looking Good

It’s been a while since I’ve listen to you guys. So, I decided to stop by and see what my acquaintances were up to. I believe I stopped listening right around the “two weeks to stop the spread” time. Episode two-o-nine was the latest episode. Scott is now part of the conversation, wonderful. Andy is a great comedic addition. Jeff is great with his lines and I’m glad I didn’t hear Zack mentioning how he was raised super conservative as if thats a horrible thing to endure. Listening to BBB in the past, most of the time, left me with more questions than answers. I had to do research during or after the episode was over just to get a better understanding on the Bible aspect of the conversation. It would be nice to have more citations from scripture here and there. I enjoyed the “what are you doing/consuming nowadays” portion of the episode. I’ll give BBB another try. Okay bye.

I love these men. They have varying opinions about theology, and ask deep questions of each other and guests. By hearing how these men process their faiths, I challenge my faith and question my stances on second-order issues. Thank you for your honesty and encouragement.

Scott is the smartest

This has to be one of the best podcasts out there. The thought provoking topics and guests are amazing. Can’t remember the podcast number, but the one on sex trafficking was eye opening. Thank you for being that into the light. Would highly recommend this pod to anyone. Also, Scott is the smartest of all the Bros.
Entertaining and thought provoking

Each of the four hosts of the podcast offer a unique take on current events from their own religious perspective in an entertaining and thought provoking way. It feels like you’re hearing normal people discussing religious topics, managing typical struggles, and sharing their lives while enjoying some tasty beverages. There is no sense that there needs to be an unified theology amongst the hosts; to the contrary there seems to be an acceptance of different outlooks and the listener is drawn into openness with which they each share.
More please

I am an atheist (former believer) and I love listening to the BBB. Interesting current issues discussed through the lens of Chrisitanity. The hosts each bring a different perspective that gets blended into a thought provoking show. Disagreements are had, jokes are made, but this is all grounded in respect and love for eachother. If you are interested in examining your own beliefs and having a few laughs, then Bros Bibles & Beer is for you.
Echo Chambers and Lack of representation
04/11/2020
So let me be clear I loved these guys back in the day. I was a dedicated listener for 3 years. They were one of those pods that really connected with me at a point in my life where I needed a fresh take on faith. When Andy joined o liked him. Then it got political I’m not against different views but. They all seem to fall in the same place politically. Very much right wing. The. George Floyd happened and they went of the rails between insane conspiracy theories and making Jesus a Libertarian I was like heck no. Then the lack of minority representation when discussing race when discussing race is concerning. I wouldn’t say they fell off a cliff it they are slowly moving toward one
Long live the Queen 👑

I found this recent podcast full of personality and fresh banter. But, as a friend, I stand in the gap for TP since she is unable to have a voice in this context. Jeff, you almost defended your wife, but the tangent went off into the weeds about couples games and sardines. I know you have plenty of faults to rake over the coals, but that doesn’t happen because your wife speaks so highly of you. I know TP’s motives to get on the bachelor boy’s back were solely to mock the women who were out of line gushing over him and also, to show bachelor boy what he chose to subject himself to. TP is THE QUEEN at mock comedy. I know this. All of her friends know she can laugh at herself and that she indulges in all things revealing truth thru comedy. I think we all are learning from this very publicly exposed story that she crossed the line and how it effected her family members. Grace covers that lesson though. Also, it covers you raking her over the coals for it. Grace grace.
Almost liked it

Stop the constant teeth clicking/sucking sound! Makes it intolerable to listen to when the one host does this in every pause between words. It’s proper speaking technique to work on such things, please do so. The content would be interesting but the unnecessary sound effect is too annoying and distracting. It’s always close to the mic as well. These can be edited out easily in post if one isn’t willing to be conscious of them and make efforts to eliminate them from speech patterns
