The Cordial Catholic

I find Keith’s voice and tone a little odd but the show is actually very good. Very knowledgeable host, guests and good conversations without interrupting the guest but still keeping the guest on track.

As a current, curious, non-denominational/protestant Christian, I have been listening to this podcast for a few months now. I have enjoyed quite a few episodes and have definitely learned a lot about the Catholic church; however, there have been a few times where Keith and/or his guests make negative comments about the viewpoints of different protestant denominations. I understand these differing values/beliefs do not align with theirs, but for a podcast made to help convert people to Catholicism, I find this extremely un-welcoming and disheartening. This makes it very difficult to feel open to learning from Catholics in person rather than online since I already feel like I would just be identified as "wrong" and can see how negatively any other Catholic would view my personal faith as is.

Keith, Love your podcast. I’m a new Catholic (after an amazing 14 year journey late in life - God was very patient with me!). Your guests are great, and your selective, very Cordial- dialogue with them makes their stories even better. Keep up the good work- I’m sure it’s not easy with your young family. You’re an inspiration to many of us listeners. Keep it Cordial! Dave

After 15 years as a Calvinist, Reformed, non-denominational Protestant , I converted to Catholicism two years ago. I’ve been listening to this podcast for three years and I absolutely enjoy them. Coming from a venomous, divisive, anti-Catholic environment as I do, the host, his guests, and their approach to the subjects are refreshingly cordial while still being frank.
