Our bodies will create tightness if it doesn’t feel safe. The ability to take in a good quality breath is what protects and helps us create stability around our center of mass. The importance of breathing through your nose and how breathing through the mouth can cause a slue of issues such as teeth, grinding, crooked teeth, congestion, and decreases your ability to fight off pathogens. Breathing through your nose, and proper diaphragm mechanics is not only beneficial from a stability perspective, but from a health and wellness perspective. The key here is to never underestimate the power of a good breath. If the breathing is off everything will be off. Your body will just find a way to compensate around it.
