What type of things should you be focusing on if you have thyroid disease in 2020? Here are the 5 things that I would recommend ALL thyroid patients focus on in the upcoming year.

These are the EXACT things that I am having my wife focus on in the new year in order to help keep her thyroid in balance.

This information applies to you if you have thyroid disease of ANY type including hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, if you are post RAI, if you've had your thyroid removed, if you have hyperthyroidism and so on.

#1. Revise your diet.

You should already know what a healthy diet is by now so instead of getting on a diet I want you to focus on personalizing your diet for your body. This means look at the TYPES of foods that you are consuming, how MUCH you are consuming, and the ratio of carbohydrates to fats to protein.

#2. Update your supplements.

Never use more than 5 supplements (or you will suffer from diminishing returns) at any given time. Also, make sure you have a clear direction and focus with your supplement regimen.

#3. Get a fresh set of labs.

Start now with a fresh set of labs in 2020 and get a full thyroid lab panel at least EVERY quarter (4x this year).

#4. Make sleep a priority.

Sleep is your number 1 priority for 2020! As you get more sleep you will notice improved hormone balance, better thyroid function, and improve efficiency in your day to day activities.

#5. Focus on mobility and stretching over exercise.

I want you to think of mobility as the new "exercise". Focusing on exercising will help improve your lifespan/healthspan, improved blood flow, and lymphatic drainage to your thyroid gland and so on.
