According to the CDC and WHO respectively, 1 in 3 American men experience physical or sexual violence or stalking by an intimate partner within their lifetime. 1 in 3 women worldwide experience physical or sexual violence by an intimate partner or sexual violence by a non partner in their lifetime. The thing is, domestic abuse and violence go beyond physical and sexual assault. There is also emotional, psychological, and financial abuse. As a domestic violence survivor myself, I empower people to break the silence on domestic violence through bold education, real talk, and unstoppable strength.
