too much host

Great idea, good topics, but less host please. A host should not interrupt the guest to talk about himself. Please take an intensive workshop from Terry Gross and get back to us.
Sorry to learn this has discontinued! Paul, Please return!

I couldn’t disagree more with those reviewers who have been critical of the host’s style, his “interruptions.” This is the only podcast I’ve found in the contemporary Humanities that approximates the kind of conversations I most enjoy, wherein two people can think-out-loud together in an expansive, generative, non-dual collaboration.
Thought provoking and inspiring

So glad these are back! Fantastic phone interviews with writers and artists, I love the wandering nature of these discussions and the structure that Paul gives them. His love of great writing makes me want to read more things! Some of my absolute favorites are with Alexander Chee, Maggie Nelson, and Adam Phillips.
how about let your guests talk more?
