Dr.Elizabeth is an associate professor of English at Hood College, where she chairs the Department of English & Communication Arts. 

She is also the author of Requiem with an Amulet in Its Beak, winner of the 2019 Jean Feldman Prize, and The Spite House, winner of 2010 De Novo Poetry Prize. Her other honors include the 2022 International Poetry Prize from Atlanta Review, the 2018 Robert H. Winner Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of America, and a 2017 Individual Artist Award from the Maryland State Arts Council. 

She will provide us with comprehensive insights into the new program, including her inspiration for joining this remarkable project, program mechanics, and the process for becoming involved.
