Dune: Prophecy The Official Podcast

Great podcast, really enjoy the behind the scenes with the cast and crew, especially Allison. Ahmed and Greta really bring an extra element with their shining personalities.

This added so much more to my understanding. I've been reading these books since the mid70’s. The actors and staff have obviously thought much about their parts so their insights into the story and characters are invaluable. The hosts have been awesome! I also gained a better understanding of all the preparations necessary to put this story on screen! Great Job!

This a frustratingly misguided exploration of Frank Herbert’s masterpiece. Largely due to host Greta’s shallow understanding of the series core ideas. Rather than engaging thoughtfully with the intricate themes of power, survival, and authoritarian control, particularly the Bene Gesserit's calculated manipulation and autocratic tendencies Greta instead frames the discussion through a narrow modern progressive lens. The hosts attempt to reinterpret the saga as a critique of colonialism and a platform for debates on feminism and left-leaning political issues feel misplaced and reductive. The progressive talking points reduce a nuanced examination of Herbert's warnings about charismatic leadership and unchecked ambition. The podcast loses sight of what makes Dune an enduring cautionary tale.

The hosts are great and the guests are the perfect people to unpack the episodes. Hope they come back for the second season!
