ok, then good, then great

then silence. Cameron Foster, where are you? You have some podcasting to do! The first dozen episodes were confusing; there were too many names, and not enough "personalities." I couldn't keep track of anything, but picked up enough broad concepts about ninja, puppet emperors, and warrior monks to follow along. The storytelling gets better as Japan enters the Sengoku Jidai, the Warring States Period. Suddenly there is a plot, and the individuals seem more than just names. Maybe this is a factor of history; I've noticed other history podcasts can be a bit dull during the early, less recorded, years. Around Episode 18, roughly, Cameron hits his stride. Nobunaga, and then Hideyoshi, are big, vivd, wonderful characters. Hideyoshi alone gets four (I think) episodes. Tokugawa Ieyasu is the last of the Big Three, but ... I only have three episodes left and Hideyoshi is still alive. And Cameron has been silent for 11 months. Dude! You are about to enter the pantheon of great and epic podcasts!!! Where are ya at?

This podcast was very captivating. Foster is a great story teller and knows how to tell the story of Japan in an informative, understandable, entertaining, and at times, slight amusing way. Great work! I would recommend to anyone who finds Japanese history interesting.

I was very late to find this podcast, which I lament, however that did mean I didn't have to wait for any episodes. Very well done. This is a podcast I can go back and binge listen to when I am gaming or need to zone out on a task.
Very informative

Maddeningly infrequent. Great material, well presented. Where is episode 33?
