Anatomy of Murder

I can’t even remember when I first started listening to your show — but from day one, I was hooked! I went all the way back to the very first episode and binged straight through to the latest. And today… I finally caught up. No more new episodes left to listen to. Now I’m sitting here like, “What do I do now?” 😩 Total withdrawals. So of course, I just started all over again! This show is incredible. I absolutely love your chemistry and storytelling. Every episode pulls me in and feels so real — like I’m living the story myself. Thank you for creating something so special!

This podcast used to be pretty good years ago, but it has gotten worse and worse, so I no longer recommend it. The writers now craft these true crime stories in ways that imply some victims deserve more effort from investigators than others – awful. Plus, host Anna-Sigga uses preachy phrasing that takes the listener out of the story. Instead of speaking normally and connecting with the audience, be prepared to hear Anna-Sigga talk about how dogs are commonly known as “person’s best friend,” and referring to a criminal being a “middleperson,” and praising the immense “peoplepower” of a police department. Artificial phrasing like this (and much more) shifts the focus off of the stories and victims. I do not recommend listening to this podcast.

The effort put into making this podcast is evident. It is a must-listen for sure!

“The Package,” which could have been fascinating, was presented in the most boring way possible, I almost fell asleep driving the car. I was looking for something better than Dateline or 48 Hours… this was not it. This poor woman and the other victims deserved better.
