Kicking myself that I just found this. Great podcast that thinks of everything. If you’re a devoted student of the battle, you’ll love it. If you’re just getting started, you’ll love it. This podcast is time well spent.

Wonderful show, with one caveat

I found and listened to this podcast after listening to all of the episodes about Gettysburg on The Civil War Podcast. I am thrilled to find this show. The host is knowledgeable and it is really nice how he incorporates the professional guides. I also like that he has clear opinions - for example about the importance of the cumulative 12 hours of battle for control of Culp’s hill, and the need to lift this up for greater acclaim. This seems to be an excellent show and I am looking forward to listening to older episodes! There is one thing I found irksome, and that was the denigrating the story of the 20th Maine and Col Joshua Chamberlain at Little Round Top. It kind of sounded like insider expert snobbery, making fun of the folks who only know about the Battle through the movie, and the over romanticization of that battle. OK…, Respectfully I would suggest that if the movie is the ‘gateway drug’ then the attitude of the experts and guides might be: “We are so happy you found this story and we welcome the opportunity to show how much more there is….” Regardless, thank you for this work!
Great show
