Thank you David

I listened to these podcasts on my walks. They are a treasure and I hope WBGO can leave them up. With David’s passing, they have become even more precious - especially the conversation with Sonny Rollins which was a privilege to listen to. I was a big metal fan back in the early 80’s in high school, but one random day I caught “Hideaway” from Straight to the Heart being played on the radio. That’s when CDs were just coming out and I think it was the second CD I ever bought. R.I.P. David, Don Grolnick, and Hiram Bullock.

Enjoyed the honoring of David it would be great to have some of his real close collaborators come together to talk about him and reminisce about playing with him and just being with him in the process. Marcus Miller would be a good start!!! Great
loss and way to soon. :(

Love this podcast… so natural. Kind of funny thing to say, though Dave your voice reminds me of Jim Hall’s 😅

great work.
