Asking For Impromptu Conversations on Racism for Kids

Asking For Impromptu Conversations on Racism for Kids

This is an impromptu conversation and example of how you can talk to your (white) young kiddos about Racism and the deaths and events of Brown and Black people, like George Floyd.
This conversation and book reading isn't perfect, but it's a good start to continuous conversations for kiddos!
    https://akidsbookabout.com/?ref=KARLIJOHNSON
    TIPS:
Be open and honest while being age-appropriate
    Use emotions they understand
Introduce kiddos to new words and keep repeating those words and examples
Don't drag the conversation; when he says he's done I stop because of his short attention space
Although the topic isn't fun, you can make learning fun for kids!

So empowering & encouraging ✊🏽❤️

This podcast is a gem! It’s so fulfilling and encouraging! I’ve had the honor of meeting Karli at NIU and her speeches are so empowering! As a survivor, I truly admire her strength and desire to help educate others in regards to this topic cause it’s not easy.
A bonus is hearing Oliver’s adorable voice! I love it! ❤️

Now THIS is what I’m asking for!

Karli is so captivating, and her podcast is going to be nothing less than that. As a school social worker that works with at risk teens and children, I have only dreamed of resources like this fellow humans to have!!
