Back to Nature: Learning About Ayurvedic Healing with Avanti Kumar-Singh, MD

Healing Hormones

Today’s guest on Healing Hormones is Avanti Kumar-Singh, MD, a former ER doctor turned ayurvedic healer. Finding the ancient Indian medical practice after – you guessed it – experiencing her own health and wellness issues that traditional medicine could not address in a way that relieved her symptoms, she knew there had to be a better way.

Ayurveda relies on a natural approach to physical and mental health; getting closer to nature is the goal. In this conversation, she gives us very practical tools of how we can start to implement its principles into our lives, simply, so that we can start to heal the body.

We also talk about finding balance between ancient and modern practices, another common theme we hear on this podcast. In this respect, Dr. Singh’s is another voice that sings in those gray areas – because there really is no black and white when it comes to staying healthy.
