    Dégagé Ministries - Heartside of Downtown

    Our responsive programming is designed to address immediate and long-term needs such as overnight respite for women in crisis, food, referral services and hygiene facilities. Dégagé’s goal is to assure that every man and woman who we serve knows that he/she is not alone. Many hardships exist in life and none of us are exempt from them. For those 400-500 individuals, we serve daily at Dégagé, many of whom are homeless and low-income, the hardships can be overwhelming—loss of shelter, loss of employment, loss of a loved one, loss of control and loss of opportunity. And with these hardships, they lose much more. Many feel unworthy and hopeless, especially after society has looked down upon them or they have been rejected after repeatedly trying to move forward on their own.     Pregnancy Resource Center - Saving One Life at a Time

    We believe ALL PEOPLE MATTER TO GOD. Our Proactive education engages young people BEFORE the crisis of a pregnancy or STD occurs. Our Responsive medical services provide care during a time of vulnerable crisis in the lives of our community members. Our Compassionate support services walk with people during and after their personal crisis. Join us on SATURDAY, JUNE 20 as we gather to unite, walk, and pray for life at one of two sites.     H.U.G.S. Ranch - The Spirit on the Ranch

    H.U.G.S. Ranch's mission is to encourage mental, emotional, physical, and social healing to hurting children and rescued, unwanted, or donated equines by allowing them to share together in experiencing Hope, Understanding, Guidance, and Support in a no-cost, safe, Christian environment. Each session pairs one child with a horse, wrangler and mentor.  During their one-hour session, each child is given a horse. They spend time doing light chores, grooming, riding, exploring their faith and just spending great one on one time together.  In addition to our one on one sessions, we also provide large group sessions.     Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan - Destination Healthcare

    The reality of having a child sick or injured and in the hospital can be incredibly overwhelming to parents and siblings. What the Ronald McDonald House is able to provide these families is a bit of stability in the midst of unthinkable circumstances. When a child is hospitalized, the healing power of having family nearby is beyond measure. It is this heartfelt purpose that both drives and defines the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan.     Bridge Street Ministries - Hope in the West Side

    The West Side of Grand Rapids is a place with a rich history, robust culture, raw grittiness, and beautiful people.  It is the place where we work, live, play and worship, and there is a lot to celebrate in our neighborhood.  At the same time, there are many people here that have endured a lot of hardship and neglect.  And it is in this space between beauty and brokenness that God has called Bridge Street Ministries to build a bridge between the streets and the church, bringing shalom to chaos. Ryan Waalkes is the Executive Director at Bridge Street Ministries and has been faithfully serving for the past 14 years.     Family Promise - Ending Child Homelessness

    Family homelessness is becoming more and more prevalent in our community. Families with children are the fastest-growing segment of the homeless population making up almost 50 percent of those who are homeless in West Michigan. Family Promise is doing everything in our power to end family homelessness….one family at a time. Most of the families we help are just like ours, but they haven’t been able to overcome a difficult situation. That’s where Family Promise can help!     Safe Haven Ministries - Understanding DV in the Community

    Safe Haven Ministries is a comprehensive domestic violence agency in Grand Rapids. Founded in 1990 by six area churches who identified domestic violence as a problem within the community. Since moving into their new build, Safe Haven now has 14 rooms and can house up to 56 individuals. Safe Haven is approaching 30 years since they've been founded and continues to grow and reach out to the community.
