Improv is Dead

Be prepared to laugh so hard you cry. Your family will not get it when you force them to listen but I do.

Having binged every improv podcast that I could find and tolerate, I found myself growing progressively more desperate for comedy podcast recommendations. In a moment of inspiration, I recalled a documentary I’d watched decades ago called Weird Science, in which two socially inept but resourceful high school kids use their personal computer to generate their perfect woman. Following their method, I fed my computer scraps of improv pods I found particularly attractive: Hey Riddle Riddle, Comedy Bang Bang, Man Dog Pod, The Daily. Suddenly, the room darkened, neon lights hummed to life, and through a curtain of mist, Improv Is Dead walked out in a tight vinyl dress and stiletto heels. My life hasn’t been the same since.
