Faith in Rwanda
Listener favorite, LaDawn, joins me again to talk about the East African chapter. In 1995, one year after the genocide, my husband and I would fly halfway around the world to live in Rwanda. In 1996, LaDawn took her first trip out of the US to visit us, see the gorillas, and meet our Rwandan friends and Rosamond Carr. (NOTE: As this episode covers Rwanda’s history and includes descriptions of violence.)

Sin in Secret
Sorry for the delay!
In this episode, we talk about weddings, meeting with a minister, and the idea of sex in a marriage. (Not suitable for children!) In a conversation with a good friend, LaDawn, and the man, we revisit the spring days in East Tennessee at a church where I grew up.

Forgive Me
Forgive my little ol’ heart. I have jumped ahead slightly. If you haven't seen Mystic Pop-Up Bar on Netflix, know that there are spoilers here from episode 2. Also, I talk about a visitor from the past! It has been quite the week!

Good news …
College years, ah, yes. Those years of reckless drinking and frivolity. Please if you are triggered about sexual assault, this isn’t the episode for you. Take care all. Grandma is watching.

That bright light …
Oh, those self-absorbed teen years! Surprisingly, I discovered that I knew a lot more about my adoptee self, but I just hadn’t processed it fully. Hear an essay from January of 1986 where two lights vie for my attention.
I’d be mighty proud to hear from y’all!

We’re fans for life. Thanks for being on our show a few years ago. We’re so glad you’re going to continue using your voice and humor to entertain and educate a wider audience. You have a great knack for engaging the audience in a slightly tongue-in-cheek and personal way.
