What are vaccines and what do they actually do to us? with Robert Scott Bell

Robert Scott Bell is a Homeopathic Pharmacists, he was one of the first to specialise in silver and pioneered the recognition in the medical community. But he joins Donna in this episode to controversially talk about vaccinations, an area he also has a lot of expertise in. Vaccines are one of the political health issues that we see discussed by many of the population. It’s always been controversial but since the pandemic, more and more people are joining the discussion and this is what Donna and Robert focus on in this conversation.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

The idea and concept of vaccines do have logic, but the implementation is usually the issue.
Having an antibody in itself is often not necessary for preventing disease. It’s just one part of the equation of whether you become sick or not.
Donna believes in the concept of nature vaccinating us; stressing the importance of building a good
Humankind often believes that it knows best or better than the natural world. It’s arrogant and humans frequently oversimplify things.
It’s possible that some people aren’t actually able to be vaccinated, it instead creates problems for them.
If you are unable to tolerate junk food, it generally means you are actually healthy. A healthy body can’t process these types of foods well.
Epidemics are frequently believed to be man-made.
To critically look at pandemics, we have to look historically at what has happened previously and how accurate the reporting and information we have on it is.
Many people have been tricked by ‘vaccines’. Some of the covid vaccines don’t actually fit the real definition but are sold to the population as one.
Robert thinks there will be more causes seen in the courts against pharma companies as well as employers over the deception and forced vaccination of many people.

    BEST MOMENTS

“The only thing more controversial than vaccines is diet!”“It violates fundamental tenants of immunology”

“You can have an antibody of a disease and succumb to it, you can not have an antibody of it and succumb to it”“Nature vaccinates us”“When you become healthy, your body reacts very badly to poison”“They had to call it a vaccine even if it didn’t fit the definition”

Your Genius Body with Andrew Rostenberg

Your Genius Body with Andrew Rostenberg

Andrew Rostenberg is a chiropractor, author and functional medicine expert. He joins Donna on this episode of Body Ecology Living to further discuss the topic of oxalates and their harm, the impact of genealogy on gut health as well as what small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) does to the body.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

Some topics can be so complicated that people give up trying to navigate them and understanding. Dr Andrew Rostenberg focuses on one of these topics, methylation, and breaks it down in easy ways to understand.
The body has an innate intelligence, it doesn’t make mistakes. It’s really important to keep this philosophy in mind when dealing with chronic illness.
Illness and death are part of life but your body will always do its best to make you live as best and as long as it possibly can.
Biotransformation is changing the nature of the molecules inside you so you can detoxify. Methylation is one of the key ways to do this.
Your genes don’t define everything about your health and life, having bad genes doesn’t mean inevitability. But, it’s important to keep them in mind as when the body is under stress they can play a much bigger role in your health.
If you are having body chemistry issues, you can’t even begin to address them until you recognise the impact of what may be a hidden gut issue to you, a yeast infection.
Ancestry DNA is Dr Andrew Rosenberg’s preferred method of testing, he and his team have found undeniable results with their patients and Donna has experienced the same.
Infertility rates around the world are increasing rapidly, healthy ‘animals’ get pregnant. If you want to create a new human you need to be in optimum health.
Oxalates are anti-nutrients because of their purpose and structures in plants. They have unique characteristics and can create a perfect storm within the gut of humans.

    BEST MOMENTS

    “Bodies just don’t make mistakes”

“We change the environment the body is in, then we change how the body acts”

“Your genes are not your destiny they don’t control your life but they are your tendency when you’re under stress”

“Over 200 million men in the world are now infertile”

Proven Scientific Ways to Restore Your Body and Improve Your Energy Levels with Ari Whitten

Proven Scientific Ways to Restore Your Body and Improve Your Energy Levels with Ari Whitten

In this episode, Donna is joined by the Founder of The Energy Blueprint, Ari Whitten, M.S. He is an energy and fatigue specialist who focuses on taking an evidence-based approach to energy enhancement, nutrition, and exercise, a natural health expert and #1 best-selling author. Ari explains the role mitochondria play in cellular defence and how that impacts their ability to produce the energy the body needs. Explaining the many stressors that stop your body from generating enough energy. Ari shares several super simple changes anyone can make to reduce these stressors, which enables mitochondria to break free from defence mode and go back to generating the power the body needs.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

Mitochondria play a big role in generating energy for your body but are also part of its defence mechanism.
Your mitochondria are constantly on the lookout for threats and asking – Is it safe to produce energy? If they detect a threat, they switch from energy production to defence.
It is possible to power up the mitochondria to trigger more energy production. But doing it at the wrong stage is not a good thing. There is a right and a wrong time to rev up the engine.
Your mitochondria are deliberately turning down energy production in response to there being too much fat in your body.
Eighty per cent of US citizens have high blood sugar at some point during the day. Mitochondria see that situation as a threat.
Mitochondria are the central hub of your metabolism; they're connected to everything.
To fix your mitochondria start small with a few simple things e.g., eat your veg first or add vinegar to your meals.
Change the way you eat to reduce your weight without necessarily having to eat less. Several options are discussed in the episode.
Melatonin which is a hormone our bodies produce is the most potent mitochondrial antioxidant that exists. How you can generate more is discussed in the episode.

    BEST MOMENTS

‘You must create energy to be able to fix your other problems. ´

‘Mitochondria are actually environmental sensors. They're like canaries in the coal mine. ´

‘These two roles of mitochondria, as energy generators, and cell defenders are mutually exclusive… to the extent that when they´re being asked to defend against threats, they are shutting down energy production.’

‘When you improve mitochondrial health as the central hub of the wheel of metabolism, it helps improve everything else.’

Are You Eating Toxic SuperFoods? Part 2 with Sally K Norton

Are You Eating Toxic SuperFoods? Part 2 with Sally K Norton

What are oxalates and what is their role in many different health issues and concerns? In part 2, Donna is joined again by nutritionist and oxalate expert Sally K Norton. She is the author of the upcoming release "Toxic Superfoods" and shares her expansive knowledge not just on oxalates but also on how easy it is to make ‘healthy eating’ mistakes that are detrimental to your health.

As well as continuing to discuss the toxicity of oxalates, Donna and Sally also delve deep into the frightening correlation between brain disease and oxalates as well as the links between other ailments and health conditions to oxalates that are often misdiagnosed.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

There have been studies completed on the correlation between oxalates and Parkinson’s and this is also something Donna has experienced first-hand in her own family.
Chocolate is very addictive, it’s one of the most difficult things for people to stop eating. This is a common theme in high-oxalate food.
Oxalate crystals are very disruptive to the gut microbiome, but the impacts are complicated and vary from person to person.
Once a person goes on a low-oxalate diet, they can find that all these ailments and conditions they have been dealing with for years will disappear.
You may think you have an issue digesting certain food, such as dairy, or struggle with fat absorption, such as a gallbladder issue. But what has been found is that it is oxalates that are causing these issues in the first place.
Making the decision to start to reduce oxalates from your life is the first step, for many small steps and a slower journey is the key to success. But, if you plan to eliminate them quickly, be prepared for some dramatic things to start happening to your body as the oxalates clear from your body.

    BEST MOMENTS

“You know that oxalates are getting into the brain”

“You cannot always correlate the food with the symptoms”

“We have to be humble about science reports”

Are You Eating Toxic SuperFoods? Part 1 with Sally K Norton

What are oxalates and what is their role in many different health issues and concerns? Donna is joined by nutritionist and oxalate expert Sally K Norton in this episode. She is the author of the upcoming release "Toxic Superfoods" and shares her expansive knowledge not just on oxalates but also on how easy it is to make ‘healthy eating’ mistakes that are detrimental to your health.

As well as the toxicity of oxalates, Donna and Sally discuss the prevalence of oxalate-rich plant foods, the impact on gut health as well as the link between inflammation and the thyroid gland and other organs.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

Oxalates are natural toxic acids and crystals with health-damaging effects and are found in many of the “superfoods” we think are good for us. Almonds, spinach and vitamin C in high doses are key examples of oxalates.
“The predominate acid in acid rain is oxalate.”
Despite mounting evidence surrounding the dangers of oxalate-rich foods, many people are still ignorant of the dangers.
Sally has helped many people improve their health and recover from serious illnesses, chronic pain, kidney problems, osteopenia, and even chronic infections, just by making simple changes to their diet.
For 40+ years the health industry has been telling the population to eat less eggs, meat and dairy but this has led to people eating more popular so-called "health" foods that are high in oxalates.
The thyroid, urinary tract and breasts are very common places for oxalates to collect in women’s bodies.
Oxalates are stored in our bones, brain and anywhere the blood can take them.
    “Oxalate passes through the placenta.”
Oxalates are a main cause of inflammation—in the gut.
You may have been diagnosed with arthritis or problems in your joints when it's really oxalates collecting there.

“You can literally get dental wear from eating high-oxalate foods”

“Our lack of knowledge is killing us”

“There’s no one looking out for your well-being, this is a commercial process”

The Healing Power of Fasting with Dr Mindy Pelz

The Healing Power of Fasting with Dr Mindy Pelz

Donna is joined by author and functional health expert, Dr Mindy Pelz in this episode all about the power of intermittent fasting. Donna and Mindy talk about the benefits of fasting to the human body, particularly the differences between men and women. They also discuss the incredible function fasting plays on our hormones and how much of a role this can therefore play in many areas of our lives.

Dr Mindy also talks about her upcoming book Fast like a Girl and how she breaks down the many benefits and techniques in an easy-to-consume format, utilising her knowledge and expertise as both a Dr and an author.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

For a lot of our lives, women have been told many different things about eating and mealtimes, Mindy was one of them. What is starting to be understood—through various studies—is that Time Restricted Eating  is the way humans are supposed to eat to stay metabolically healthy. Meaning that diseases like diabetes, obesity, Alzheimers, heart disease and hormone imbalances can be prevented and even reversed by when we do and don’t eat.
During these resting or ‘fasting’ periods your body is healing itself.
There are a lot of different fasting diets around, but Dr Mindy focuses on the one that has the best-proven results and is the easiest to follow.
Women’s hormones make eating and lifestyle much more complicated.
Estrogen loves it when you fast, particularly if you are going through an estrogen decline such as during menopause. Progesterone is the opposite and does not want you to fast.
Low testosterone has become a problem for both men and women.
Men can fast whenever they want. but still need to “step out of fasting” at times
. 5:1:1 is good for them.
Menopause - as estrogen declines you become more insulin resistant. Whether you areWe are moving into a time where people are more fluid with their sexuality and gender, with research on hormones and their impact becoming more prevalent it may give us some answers to why we are seeing more of this in the modern age.
Hormones are far-reaching in our lives, they impact our health, our relationships and much more. Fasting can help us gain control over our hormones and create a lifestyle more in line with what we evolved to be.

Is coffee Ok to drink when you are fasting? Yes! Black coffee (free of pesticides) is just fine.

    BEST MOMENTS

“I find men are as interested in this conversation as women, especially if they have a lot of women in their life”

“We start to see all your metabolic markers go down”

“In these rest periods, the body starts to heal itself”

What?!

OK I have listened to many of Donna’s interviews. Back in the day when we weren’t streaming everything, I purchase quite a few of her CDs to learn about better health.

Most of the information in this interview contradicts many of the things that she was adamant about years ago.

So in this interview, there’s a lot of bad, all the foods we love, and have learned to trust through previous information that Donna given us, but where is the answer for all of this.

If you’re gonna give us the bad news give us a good news too, please.

Tanya Marc ,

Very informative and fun to listen to

Very informative and always fun to listen to. I usually listen to Body Ecology podcasts in my car when driving to and from work, and I am always amazed with the quality of information in a short amount of time (one podcast).
Thank you Donna for educating us all about the importance of food!
