I'm a very big fan of this podcast! I found it last spring because of the interview with Amy Grant. (I’m an ex-Nashvillian and long-time fan of Amy.) I thought it was a really wonderful interview—and I've heard TONS of interviews with Amy—and I proceeded to binge all the episodes throughout last summer, as I was working on my final thesis project in grad school, which is a deeply personal mini-memoir. Both Tricia's story and this podcast were so inspirational to me that I wrote briefly about her video "How to Draw a Nekkid Man" in my book. "No Time to be Timid" really was both a constant motto and motivation to me as I birthed my own project. I'm very excited about Season 3 coming out soon!
Motivational stories from all kinds of creatives

This podcast gives encouragement in a relatable way that is equal parts practical, humorous, and motivational. I love that a wide variety of creative people are interviewed: writers, artists, comedians, magicians, bookshop owners, etc. It reminds me that all of these accomplished people had to start somewhere, and i appreciate them being willing to be vulnerable as they share their insecurities and stumbling blocks, and how they work to overcome them. Basically, this is a podcast about being a human, striving to do what you feel called to do. Tricia is a great host: supportive of who she is interviewing, lets them do most of the talking, but stays on topic, asks relevant questions, and shares her own anecdotes when relevant. When it occurred to me that I have listened to all episodes except the last couple bonus episodes, I figured I’d better hurry up and write a review. Thank you for the good you are putting out there into the world, Tricia!

I have always wanted to write and am good at it. I let fear and embarrassment slow me down. This podcast helps with these feelings tremendously.

I love hearing the unusual and original origin stories of artists and creators. Some origin stories start after dramatic change. Some out of discomfort. And some when grey hairs begin to appear. I'm here for it!
