    500. Patrick Galante (Night Rider / Lowist / Ex Ice Nine Kills)

Join Patrick and I as we catch up for the first time in a little over a year. Patrick opens up about how his declining health led him to making the tough decision to step down as the drummer of Ice Nine Kills, arguably at the height of the band's career. Patrick shares his journey to sobriety and we of course nerd out a bit about the ever growing non alcohol space.  We discuss the real stresses of touring as much as INK was and how Pat living a really nomadic lifestyle took it's toll on him, and how bands as a whole are starting to be more honest with fans about not being healthy, mentally or physically, and needing to take some breaks to avoid burnout or worse.  Patrick and I discuss how we've learned to re evaluate a lot of relationships in our lives and through the prism of our working in the bar industry. What’s in ahead for Pat as far as new music and collabs and SO MUCH MORE in this all encompassing chat with Patrick.  Intro Music: “Remember “This Night” (Podcast Edit) by Chae Hawk "Pretty Lights" by Heartsick Show Sponsors: Rockabilia (www.rockabilia.com) USE OUR CODE BREWTALLY AND GET 10% OFF YOUR TOTAL ORDER!! 499. Stephen Christian (Anberlin / Anchor and Braille)

Join Stephen and I for this quick chat discussing the upcoming Anchor and Braille album, New Mexico.  Stephen reveals how Anchor and Braille has changed for him over the years, while still at its core being about being a vessel for music that needs to come out of him.  We dig a bit deeper into the process of self exploration Stephen went through at the end of Anberlin calling it a day back in 2014. The journey he went on to find himself and which ultimately led him and the rest of his bandmates back to one another.  Stephen also talks about getting to write new Anberlin music with Matty Mullins, the similarities between being the frontman of a band to preaching to people in his ministry and more in this chat with the Anberlin / Anchor and Braille vocalist.       Intro Music: “Remember “This Night” (Podcast Edit) by Chae Hawk "Pretty Lights" by Heartsick Show Sponsors: Rockabilia (www.rockabilia.com) USE OUR CODE BREWTALLY AND GET 10% OFF YOUR TOTAL ORDER!! 496. Chris Davis (The Ghost Inside / Texas In July / Late For Load In Podcast)

Join Chris and I as we discuss the evolution of being a fan of music in the physical media age. From scouring the "thank you's" for bands you should check out to the era of the producer/labels being as much of a factor in what albums you bought as the bands themselves. We get into how bands go about choosing producers now when it doesn't seem to be as important, as well as the misinformation surrounding cowriters in metal and rock music. Chris opens up about how the band played it a bit safe on their comeback record, and how that became the impetus for really doing what they wanted on their latest record. Chris also shares what lead to the band canceling a tour, and how close the band was to possibly breaking up if they hadn't. We discuss Chris's new podcast, Late For Load In, and how that has been for him to dive into and so much more in this wide ranging chat with The Ghost Inside guitarist.
